Description
Get Wrecked - AGAIN!
The FES dive team had such a great time in San Diego that last few times we went, that we are doing it again-October 7-9. This trip includes a day of 2-tank boat diving to the Coronado Islands, and 2 days of 2-tank charters to the wrecks. Book your own transportation and hotel to stay within your dive budget. Add $225 for the PADI Wreck Diver Specialty and get yourself one step closer to the Master Scuba Diver rating!
The Coronado Islands are a group of four islands off the northwest coast of the Mexican state of Baja California. The islands are largely unfertile and uninhabited except for a small military detachment and a few lighthouse keepers. The islands are often visible from San Diego but are owned by Mexico. The water temperature is usually a few degrees warmer than immediately off the coast of San Diego, the visibility is much better (often >60'!) There is an amazing amount of marine life off the islands, but a surprising absence of giant kelp.
Last year, the visibility was amazing for California and many of us enjoyed some of the best cold water diving ever. We are heading back during the same weekend, so don't miss this opportunity to get wet and enjoy some of the best diving california has to offer.
$295 for 3 days of diving ($150 non-refundable deposit).
$195 for 2 days of wreck diving.
We have reserved a block of rooms at the Heritage Inn in San Diego. This economy hotel is 1 mile from the boat dock and is $45/night for two queen beds. Call the store for information on signing up for one of these rooms.
Travellers are repsonsible for covering their own travel, food and lodging expenses while in San Diego.

Description
The Waterhorse Charter vessel, the Humboldt, has been designed specially for scuba diving with an overall length of 45' and a 16' beam. We are able to carry 22 passengers on board! The Humboldt has a top speed of 30 mph and a cruising speed of 26 mph.
There are two compressors on board that can fill either yoke, din or high pressure steel tanks. There are AL80's available for use, or you are free to bring your own steel tanks. With a fresh hot water shower, and hot soup between dives, they'll be sure to make your day as enjoyable as possible.
