Beginning Scuba Classes

Beginning Scuba Classes

Get your PADI scuba certification! If you’ve always wanted to learn how to scuba dive, discover new adventures or simply see the wondrous world beneath the waves, this is where it starts. The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world’s most popular scuba course, and has introduced millions of people to the adventurous diving lifestyle.

The fun part about this course is . . . well, just about all of it because learning to dive is incredible. You breathe underwater for the first time (something you’ll never forget) and learn what you need to know to become a certified diver. During the course, you’ll make a series of pool dives and four dives at actual open water dive sites under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.

Fisheye Scuba can teach you to scuba dive and take you every step of the way to complete your Open Water Scuba Certification in as little as 2 weeks or 2 weekends.

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

Step 1 - Knowledge Development: You can choose to complete this portion either online or as a combination of home study and classroom sessions. With PADI's online eLearning program, you can start the knowledge development portion of your course right now in the comfort of your own home. If you'd prefer to complete this step via home study/classroom, we'll provide you with the home-study materials you need when you sign up for the course.

Step 2 - Confined Water Dives: You will will spend approximately 6-8 hours in a swimming pool over 2-3 days learning and practicing new scuba skills. This is where you will have the exhilerating feeling of taking a breath underwater for the very first time.

Step 3 - Open Water Dives. In this phase, you will make 4 dives over a two-day period in an open water environment such as Monterey, Lake Tahoe or a local lake. Here you will put your new skills into action and explore the underwater environment.
